More than 400 Los Cabos area dining options range from taco stands to upscale dining rooms either within glittering resorts or off-the-beaten path. Cuisine varies accordingly from burritos to lobster dinners prepared all sorts of ways, frequently embellished by flambe drinks and mouthwatering desserts. Cabo San Lucas has catapulted to the top of Mexico’s most elite resort destinations in recent years, with dining geared to accompany legendary fishing opportunities, along with newer world-class fairways and greens. Excellent meals are served in three distinct areas: Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo and the Transpeninsular Highway, linking the two towns and often called The Corridor. Dining reservations, often a must on holiday weekends, are generally not required. Some dining enclaves automatically add a 15 percent gratuity to the check.
